This exhibit features two artists: Ellen Hopkins Fountain, a master watercolorist from Ardsley, New York and Mary Manning, a master printer and painter from Westport, Connecticut. Both artists started out in graphic design for theater and television. Their personal work has evolved with great expressions of color, light and form. Hopkins Fountain is inspired by the Hudson River and her surroundings, which she portrays with both great clarity and muted, moody suggestion. Mary Manning's monotypes are colorful, free floating forms, suggesting marine and plant life.
