Susanna Ronner

Artist Statement

Ronner’s sensitivity of the visual realm emerged in childhood and continued at the renowned High School of Music and Art (NYC), which deepened her artistic journey. Over many years she pursued painting, drawing, works on paper and ceramics. Ronner developed an interest in graphic design and earned her BFA in Graphic Design before working in San Francisco for some of the most sought after and influential graphic designers. In 1989 she opened her own office in Woodstock, NY, which continues to date. Although in love with her graphic design work, she also yearned for the freedom to do her own art. In 2017 she discovered monotype printmaking, inspired by the local renowned artist Milton Glaser. The technique of collage also re-emerged with zest. Her exuberant work reflects the role of art, dance and music in her life.
